Morgan, Hemp & Co was established in 1980 by Roger Morgan and Clive Hemp. Richard Morgan, the current Managing Director, joined the company in 1986 and has helped develop the company into a progressive practice.
Richard is supported by his management team of Gillian Davies, Mark Robinson and Martin Hudson along with Accounts Manager, Jo-Anne Lancaster, who is an expert in solicitors’ accounts.

Accountancy can be confusing and we use clear, jargon free language so that everyone understands their individual financial position. We also operate an open door policy for all our clients so you can ring up for advice when you need it.
Richard Morgan
Richard joined Morgan and Hemp in 1986 and took over the reigns after the retirement of Roger Morgan and Clive Hemp in 2005.
Richard is the company’s guiding influence, managing the practice that comprises 17 staff who work out of offices on Walter Road in Swansea. He also advises clients on a wide variety of accountancy and business matters.
He is a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and handles a range of clients from sole traders and SME’s to GP and dental practices.
Gillian Davies
Gillian Davies originally joined the company in 1983 and returned in 1991 following a career break. She became a shareholder in the company in 2005 and is part of Morgan Hemp & Co’s management team.
Gillian uses her three decades of experience in the profession to lead the Audit Department. She specialises in larger limited companies and also sole traders, and partnerships.
Gillian is also able to offer advice on all aspects of tax including self-assessment as well as corporation tax for larger companies.
Mark Robinson
Mark Robinson is a Chartered Certified Accountant and has been with Morgan Hemp & Co. since 1990. He became a managing shareholder in 2005 and is a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.
Mark specialises in SME’s as well as dealing in all aspects of personal and corporate tax. Mark’s clients range from the construction sector to takeaways and cafes.
He can also advise business start-ups and offer help on business plans as well as cash flow and profit forecasting.
Martin Hudson
Martin Hudson is a Chartered Certified Accountant and a managing shareholder in the firm. He joined Morgan Hemp & Co. in 1990 and handles a wide portfolio of clients from small subcontractors to companies with multi-million pound turnovers. Martin also advises in personal and corporate taxation.
Like all of the staff at Morgan Hemp & Co, Martin is an approachable friendly accountant who takes the time to understand the day-to-day workings of your company.
Jo-Anne Lancaster
Jo-Anne has nearly 40 years experience in accountancy. She specialises in solicitors’ accountants and offers training for cashiers as well as preparing accounts for partnerships, companies and sole practitioners.
Jo-Anne understands the legal requirements facing solicitors today and also advises her clients on practice profitability. She stages seminars for legal support staff and practice managers and keeps all her clients up to date with the latest developments and changes.
